inspiration in charleston

because i didn't want to overload the first charleston post with a billion pictures, i thought i would dedicate a post just to the inspiration i found in charleston.

we spent an entire afternoon walking along the battery. it's an area of downtown charleston along the water that is filled with historic and beautiful houses. i kept stopping in the middle of the sidewalk and darting across the street because i saw something that i loved and wanted to snap a picture to remember.

although i will never live in one of these gorgeous houses, there were bits and pieces that i can maybe sneak into our house someday.

which one is your favorite?

baubles

it's absolutely not a secret that i am obsessed with jewels. it just might be my ultimate weakness...that or chocolate. both fantastic if you ask me.

i have recently stumbled across bauble bar...a website that has an assortment of wonderful jewels to be scooped up.

many of these are going on my wish list. with my birthday and christmas coming up in a few months, i am definitely going to be hoping some of these end up in my jewelry box.

my first bauble bar purchase was this pretty little (or not so little) treat. i plan to rock it with a striped shirt or a shift dress pretty soon...

if any of you want to shop the pretty pieces above, hop on over to bauble bar and set up an account. i would definitely recommend them. best part? you get $10 off your first purchase. TREAT!

bauble bar doesn't know about me or my little blog. they don't know i'm writing this post. i just wanted to share the jewelry love...

eye candy

every once in awhile, I am going to post some favorite pictures from Flickr. I find so many pictures that I just love and I want to share them with you. Last time, they were from a bunch of photographers. This time, I want to feature just one.

Beth Retro is a fabulous photographer that i found on flickr. Her pictures are so pretty. Someday, I would love to get my hands on some for my house. Could you imagine hanging these pictures in your living room, bedroom (as long as your hubby doesn't mind the girlyness it brings) or even a little girls rooms? it would add a little sparkle, don't you think?

I narrowed down my favorites. There are so many more. Go check her out on flickr. I hope you love her work as much as i do.

that last one is my favorite :)
soak in the girlyness...
