that is what i am doing all weekend long.

have you heard of that crazy snow/ice storm that has hit OK, AR and TN? well, it is headed this way. i don't mind the winter storm warnings that have been plastered all over the tv or the fact that the weatherman is calling the storm that is coming "crippling". i just don't want to lose power. that is all i ask.

so this weekend, my plans include...

playing super mario. A recently got a nintendo wii. and it is currently at mi casa. so A and i have been playing like psychos. my thumbs hurt. call me a nerd but i really really love mario.

looking through my domino magazines. i want to get some inspiration for my apartment. little things to make it more "me". i need some ideas.

i also will be doing some laundry. at my apartment. how you ask? well...

that's right my friends. i got a washer and dryer. A's boss had these sitting in storage. A asked (for me) if i could store them for him in my apartment. he let me have them forever. how freaking awesome is that??? i've never been so excited to do laundry in my life!

here's to a nice little snowy weekend indoors.

top 5 - make up

one of my favorite blog girls savannah did a fun little post {here} on her blog recently. she posted her top 5 make up must-haves. i don't know what it is about getting a peek into others things but it makes me giddy (is that stalker-ish sounding? i hope not). i just love when people take me on a tour of their house. i feel like i get a little sneak peak into their lives. and make-up? such a fun little thing to talk about.

so i thought i would copy savannah and show you my top 5 cosmetic must-haves.

extra seating

i love the look of kitchens with extra seating {as bar stools}. i think it is so practical if you have a big family and even more practical if you have kiddos. and these pictures just make it look so perfect. so fitting. i would like to prop there and pick out recipes for the week and make grocery shopping lists. i know...that sounds very mom-ish of me. but i would totally do it.

that first kitchen is my favorite. but i really do enjoy each of these pictures. someday, i will get to put pretty barstools in my kitchen. someday...

lovely friday

so this lovely friday is coming a little later in the day. but here it is my sweets...

this nice weather has gotten me all excited for spring fashion finds. as you know me by now, i like to find some good deals. and h&m is speaking to my heart already. they have a preview of one of their spring lines and i am so excited i could squeal. there is an h&m store in atlanta (i have never been to one before) and i'm thinking pretty soon, i will drag A down to atl to snag some of these wonderful pieces. or maybe i'll convince some of my besties {cough cough...are you listening besties?} to come down and go on a little cheap shopping spring.

so this lovely friday is dedicated to some wonderful pieces that i am hoping land in my closet soon.

are you ready for spring weather yet? we have been getting some weather in the upper 60's recently...i am 100% ready.

i have realized lately that i have a weak spot for dishes... specifically serving dishes. i think it might just remind me of having a little party with all of your best friends and being able to cook for people you love. i think that is why i am obsessed with serving pieces. or maybe i'm just being sentimental because i miss my besties and want them all to be able to just come over and visit. too bad they don't live close enough to do that anymore...

i hope to someday have a nice little collection of mis-matched pieces {that compliment each other} and have some friends over for a little get-together. doesn't that sound wonderful? i think so.

the last pretty little serving dish {found here} you see from allmodern is one that i am actually getting in the mail pretty soon. i get to do my first product review! i was so excited when they contacted me to review a product of theirs. so don't worry my sweets, i will be back with a product review {hopefully} soon.

golden globes

i really love awards season. i just love looking at all of the pretty dresses and picking my favorites.

the golden globes kicked it off for me last night and some of the dresses did not disappoint. it's like candy for my eyes...i just love looking at all of the sparkle.

florida christmas

hi friends. this is my last christmas post, i promise. i am HORRIBLE at taking pictures. so i had to wait for my mama and sister to send them my way. and i thought you might want to see my family christmas in florida documented in pictures {and yes...A came along for the ride too}. also...get ready for picture overload.

the first night we were there, they had an AMAZING thunderstorm. i love love LOVE storms. so me, A and my sister spent most of the evening out on the front porch watching the storm go by. 

we also went on some adventures. marble slab was a must go-to. we have one in SC but there are none in KY. it was good...but i have had better marble slab ice cream. it didn't stop me and A {especially A} from getting really pumped about ice cream.

a beach trip was a must. don't let the pretty sunshine, white sand and beautiful ocean fool you. it was FREEZING. i am talking ears feel like they are going to fall off...i am not walking on sand but it's actually snow cold. but we still had a fun little photo shoot. and we had the gorgeous beach all to ourselves.

this jumping picture might be the only one we got {out of like 20} where my sister actually got her feet up off the sand. her feet were so cold they outright refused to leave the ground. or something like that. anyway, it definitely gave us a lot of laughs.

and morgan suggested we have a little shandy shoot while we were there. this one is my fave. {excuse my crazy bang on top of my head...it was windy}

another thing we did a lot of....puzzles. we are obsessed. we prob did at least 4 or 5. not. kidding.

this last picture needs a little bit of explanation. but it is by far my best memory of florida. i love beyonce's 'single ladies' song. and so my sis decided to do a little dance for us. she had the video up on her phone. we had the music on to match the video perfectly. she did the whole dance and did not hold back. it was beyond fabulous. {she even put on a wife beater and her under armour shorts to match beyonce's leotard. yeah...she is dedicated} i have never laughed so hard in my life. i freaking love my sister.

contrary to what these pictures show, i promise my parents and grandparents were there as well. A, morg, and myself just love hanging out so much that a majority of pictures are just the three of us. 

and that was our wonderful, fabulous, magnificent and perfect christmas spent in florida. i wish it had lasted longer. i really love my family...

lovely friday

lovely friday is finally back. i finally have my act together and i apologize for it being a few weeks. but i'm back and with something pretty lovely indeed.

with my friend rachel dreaming about kitchens, i decided to go through my design inspiration folder here on my little laptop. and i definitely have a soft spot for open shelving in kitchens. i adore it.
