i have realized lately that i have a weak spot for dishes... specifically serving dishes. i think it might just remind me of having a little party with all of your best friends and being able to cook for people you love. i think that is why i am obsessed with serving pieces. or maybe i'm just being sentimental because i miss my besties and want them all to be able to just come over and visit. too bad they don't live close enough to do that anymore...
i hope to someday have a nice little collection of mis-matched pieces {that compliment each other} and have some friends over for a little get-together. doesn't that sound wonderful? i think so.

the simple dish with the blue trim from crate & barrel is my fave!!
